Hello all. Another noob question. I have seen some feather blanks that have a thin gold or silver colored ribbon at the ends. It looks metallic. I've tried to find it but since I don't know what it's called I haven't been able to find the right thing. What is called and where can I get it?

Thanks in advance.

or could simply be thin gold ribbon.

I know the first guy that did the feather blanks, way back when, tied flies also. He would use metallic threads in a lot of his.

Let's see if I still have the pics.

Here's one, from Shane Whitlock.

I saw a DVD of a British guy named Mervyn Cadman. What he is using is a ribbon, very thin but a ribbon nevertheless. He has not answered my request about what he is using.

OK. Since apparently not many are familiar with this product, let me tell you I found a nice variety here. I think this is a material that can add some nice visual enhancements to your pens. I am not related to BRF in any way. Just a satisfied customer.
