I've just had a member show interest in the cabinetry work that I do. I thought I'd share the link here. Before I had completed my education I knew i wanted to work with wood in some form. Since September 1998 I have been working with this company making a lot of various cabinets from kitchens, wardrobes and vanity units to private bars, reception counters for banks and offices. Our work is all bespoke and is designed with the customer in our workshop.
Since the economic downturn, things have slowed down a bit but we're just managing to keep it ticking over.

Some very nice work there. I used to be a homebuilder and made my own cabinets, but nothing as good as yours.

Thanks Bob. Today I was temporarily laid off so it looks like I'm going to have a lot of spare time to get back to some turning.

I am sorry to hear that you just got laid off. But with doing work that looks like that, I am sure that it won't be for very long!

I'm really sorry to hear that you were laid off. I just heard the experts talk in the media that if you haven't been laid off yet, you probably won't be as the economy is coming around. Hopefully this will be a very short term lay off for you.
