What I did with a fish knife

A friend gave me an old canteen of fish knives with Ivory handles, rather that dump them.
I heated the bolster with a flame gun to remove the tang with no success.
I cut the portion off with the tang ( green line ) and cut the handle in two with the scroll saw.

Very attractive. Bog oak or dark ebony would also make a nice pairing.
