Well, I actually MADE t:he shaving brush handle last week. AND, video'd the whole process. So, today was editing day.

Take a look, if you are interested in shaving brushes. Turned out to be a REALLY cool brush, with the embedded Alligator jaw bone. I decided to use a round nose carbide tool that I got from Peter a couple years ago. There is nothing like carbide when you are turning bone.

I will post the link in a few minutes, YouTube is "adjusting" for my shaking video (don't they know it's not nice to notice when an old alcoholic has the "shakes"??)

The blank was made by Tom Barron!! Tom is testing to see if there is any interest in larger blanks from his gator bone. We just had a "name this blank" winner on FaceBook, with the clever name: Cajun Gator Geauxld---features gold leaf in the tooth cavities, and it is, of course from Cajun country.

Really enjoy these naming contests--gave away $100 in gift certificates, too!!

Be here soon!! About 9:30 ---second try should be up

Ed

Here's a pic, just as a "teaser"

Thanks again Ed. Your videos are just getting better all the time. Very informative. The part about using the skew should be watched by all needing to learn how to use one.

Agree, I learned to use the skew for pens watching Ed at the first penturners gathering in Illinois several years back now... I had lots of trouble turning the acrylics and polyresins before I saw him with his skew...
