I bought a bunch on PSI pens: The Polaris pens I got that say T/N look the same as the 24kt gold. What does T/N mean and why is it more $$$?

Titanium Nitride(Nitrate)
Instead of the standard gold plating it's plated with a Titanium salt, essentialy this coating will not wear off as the basic gold coats will over time.
--- while on the subject, is their any one beside myself that thinks the TN marking on the clips is a bit unnecessary? --- why doesn't PSI mark the Platinum/ Rhodium plated clips, or the 10K Gold plated clips or the 24K Gold plated clips, if identifying the coating is important?
