Have a creative block and just don't want to spend time in the shop. I'm at that point right now. I know I have things to do, but just don't want to do them. Maybe you can inspire me, or others to get into the shop.

(Today is out of the question, 90+ degrees outside and I have a weak AC unit.)

difference between must do things and creative block

must do is a must do

creative block, just walk away for a day or two so your mind has a chance to rest

I like to read or view other things to inspire me.

I am going to tell you what i do. I go spend time with the family. I go fishing taking my boy with me. I go to the library and take the daughter. The wife and I get out and work in the garden. I go read a book, watch a movie, play some poker on line, check out the library here, etc.......

Take a break and walk away. Recharge you batteries and hit it again next week. Life is to short......enjoy it.

I have plenty of other things waiting in the wings to cycle through, so that keeps me from getting too burned out.

It's sort of like taking a vacation from work to recharge yourself and you come back a little more invigorated than when you left. The same can apply for our work in our penmaking or other hobbies.

What else interests you that you can redirect to for a couple days? Gardening? Reading, Fishing? Running or Bicycling? Spending some devotional study time? Visiting with family or friends? Photograph something besides pens? Those are just a few of mine, but the possibilities are as endless as our imaginations and our own interests.

What are YOUR other interests? Go spend a little time with one of them and recharge!
