I was wonder what catalogs to order since I am new. I have the PSI, Woodcraft, Berea Hardwoods and a Craft Supplies USA (taking a while) on the way. Any others that I should get?

Catalogs? What kind of wood is that? Is it some new PR casting material? What does the grain look like and who sells it?

I would get the catalog from Packard. I like catalogs because if you don't know what you are looking for, but just want to browse they are very helpful.

+1

Same here - When I'm looking for something new to try, flipping through the pages of a real catalog is easier.

They're also easier to look through while I sit on the porch in the evening sun. It's kind of hard to haul the mini-tower out there...

Used to

Those are the three main suppliers, almost every other supplier re-sells their pen stuff.

That used to be true but today a lot of the secondary suppliers have other sources and some are developing their own lines with a few offerings that the big guys don't have.

Catalogs

Catalogs make better brousing for me than the internet. I can quickly look through what is new and what has happened with prices. They can also be recycled as packing paper in shipping boxes.

I also get catalogs from some jewelry, art and leather companies so I can get inspiration of things to add or ways to make creative additions to pens and other turnings.
