Has anyone looked into using a wet saw similar to this for cutting hard material pen blanks?
I would also like to use it for triming some stainless steel braided pen tubes cast in PR. It uses a diamond blade for tile but I would think an abrasive blade could be used for metal such as the stainless steel braid covered brass tubes. This one is sold at HD for $88.00. With the ability to keep the material cool with the water. What do you guys think?

I don't know if the diamond blade it comes with would clog up with the pr or that it would have give you a clean cut, I have one and never thought about cutting blanks with it, they are really messy usually cover a good 2' in every direction with water so it would be better used outside than in the shop.

My main use would be for trimming the stainless braid once the braid is attached to the pen tube before or after it's cast in PR. Yes it would be best to use outside.

I had a litte wet saw from my Lapedary life and I bought a 4" saw blade and changed it over from the diamond blade to saw blade. Worked good. Even made a couple slides for trimming and cutting off. Ran out of room so moved it off the bench.
