So far this match is my favorite-----Cherry burl and Wet Black 308 casings. This wood will get darker real fast in sun light.

Gary,
I can't wait to try out the casings. Do you ever force the brass to turn green, then protect it(if possible)? I love the way copper changes, but am not sure if brass turns green too.

I also wonder how the black casings would look with sappy blackwood.

If you just sand the brass out with MM and leave it bear---about two weeks and it will start to tarnish---if you use a good polish it will hold up a lot longer.
Most of the time folks like the ones with a little pitna---looks more like the real thing---??????
This is the first patch of Wet Black that I have made up for my inventory----but I think they would look real good. I would use a gold kit---fancy if you got them.
I did make a couple of the 50 cals up useing black Ebony---they came out real nice.
Your casing should be there anytime---if the postman can find you.[8D]
