I have found some for $60.00 and up and have found #2mt to #1mt reducer and a #1mt 1/2" steb at PSI. A combined price of $40 and shipping for both, bumps that up. Anyone know were to get this at a good price or sell a used one.

Thanks Al

A few years ago I ordered 50 of these directly from Sorby and turned the rear portion down so they would fit into a 3/4" collet chuck and the teeth being only 1/2" wide worked perfectly for pen turning so if you can turn the rear section down this would be perfect.

I searched high and low and found nothing that compared. I bought one at Woodcraft that was supposed to be 5/8" but it turned out that the 5/8" was the diameter at the inner portion of the holding teeth but the outside diameter was 3/4".

Who know, perhaps someone who ordered one decided they don't need it anymore and might part with theirs, there were 50 members who bought one so maybe there will be at least one person!

Just guessing but I would think that there isn't that much of a demand for something so small. Most turners want LARGER holding centers for their big bowls and platters.

A couple years ago I did a half day demo on penturning at my shop for members of my turning club. Most members have been turning for years and their attititude is that they make REAL things not little bitty pens. One fellow, upon seeing my shop, jokinly asked where all my turning tools were!
