This is the first time I've seen anything like this show up in a cast blank. These are label cast in Silmar. Notice the zig zag line that appears just past where the label overlaps. I did not use pinking shears to trim the label. These lines just started showing up on my last two batches totaling 8 blanks. So, my question is has anyone seen anything like this before and if so what is causing it.

If you cast with the blanks laying on their side, and Have you recently changed ink brands? I'm wondering if it's the ink bleeding in the resin. These might be from that as the resin churns as it heats up. If you're casting vertically this isn't the problem because the marks would be down the tube and not around it.
From the picture it looks like a shadow along the marks like it's raised.

I'm not sure but I'm guessing they are made from the resin dissolving the ink partials and pushing them off of the edge of the label as the resin moves during curing. Much like how it moves in color casts and leaves the top layer of the cast different than what's inside the blank.
