Last month, I asked IAP members to consider voting for me as "Best Artist" at the Lake Oconee Living Magazine. WE won!!!! AND with nearly 10 percent of the total vote!
With 39 competitors in the field, I can't help but feel that the IAP support made a BIG (perhaps, the ONLY difference) between winning and losing.
This is the first time a "pen artist" has even been nominated for this award. My winning prize is a Certificate of BEST ARTIST, which I can proudly display in my booth.
The other prize is a feature article about my "art" in the magazine's "Best of Lake Oconee" issue, this winter.
I have decided that I want to make this article all about "pen making" and advancing pen making as an art, instead of "all about me". I WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED IN GETTING PM's LISTING WHAT YOU ALL THINK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO HELP ADVANCE OUR ART.
Thanks again for all of the support, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY FOR ALL THE KNOWLEDGE I HAVE GAINED HERE!
Respectfully and humbly submitted.
