When PSI announced their "We the People" pen kits, I bought the starter kit and several more. This is a .30 Cal Bolt Action pen kit with the preamble to the Constitution engraved on the nib end. The clip represents the Betsy Ross flag. I had a feeling this might be popular with the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence coming up fast. I wanted some patriotic themed pen blanks to go with them. I also needed a Texas Flag Thin Blue Line blank for my brother.
I went searching for a place to find both type blanks. I couldn't find anyone who advertised Texas TBL blanks so I asked on here if anyone could make some. I found what I was looking for at Pen Blank Shop ( https://www.penblankshop.com ) a Texas company who had a stockpile of patriotic label cast blanks and agreed to custom make some Texas TBL blanks as well. So i bought a bunch of them.
Below are the first results. The kits are the same great quality we expect from the PSI bolt action pens. The blanks are amazing. The AlumaLite resin is clear and bubble free. The pictures are crisp and bright. PBS is my new go-to site for label cast blanks.
The one that doesn't look like a bolt action is for my wife. As a young, impressionable Air Force officer, she was stationed on Guam when the B-52s were making regular runs into North Vietnam. She's been a fan of the BUFF ever since in spite of marrying a fighter pilot.
