I have one of those ... not exactly like that one, but close....mine will collapse to about 12 inches and extend out to about 6 feet... bought it years and years ago at Ellison's Sporting goods in San Mateo Ca., to take up to the mountains... I use a full size Diawa spinning reel on it, but haven't had it out in nearly 20 years.

That's a better idea. Especially since I may die in the next couple days. It's supposed to be a 100 tomorrow and a 100 the next day and a 100 the day after that then cool down to the mid to high 80's after that but don't count on it. Were expecting to break heat records 3 days in a row. I'm starting to take this global warming thing seriously.

We have been playing with 98, all week 99 a couple days with heat index of 107. Weather conditions are definitely changing. They just upgraded the hurricane predictions. California is burning and Louisiana is flooding. Now they are calling for a very cold winter around the east cost. Stay safe everyone.

So take that one and replace the Aluminum case with wood then you have one. Knowing you it should be "easy peasy" (my grand daughters new favorite expression)

see them on ebay for less than $5.00
just shop around and hunt for them...seen some close in some hardware stores, I would not trust one with a fish LOL Looks cool but that's about it
