Waxing Problems

I used TSW over a CA/BLO finish after 20 hours (I know I should wait 24 hours). The finish became clouded with gray blotches. After a few hours, everything cleared up, to my great relief.

Then after about 30 hours, I rebuffed with white diamond and tried Rennaisance Wax. The same thing happened... only worse, and while it seems to be clearing up,it seems much slower (and perhaps not completely, as with the TSW).

What Gives? The pen has not been in an enclosed space.

By chance was the material an oily wood?

It's Tiger Nara (which I never used or heard of before). It was a goodie that Bill from Ariz. Sillouette threw into an order. It didn't strike me as being overly oily. It reminded me of paduk or bubinga.
