Hi people,

Please take care with your Paypal accounts.

I have just had mine hacked into and some $'s removed.:eek::eek: I had been getting an odd phishing email which I forwarded onto Paypal. Never at any time did I open any of the links in these emails, but the "Buggers" got in anyway.:mad::mad::mad:

So watch your accounts.

FYI.

Bob.

I'm sorry to hear that Bob. I hope you weren't taken for too much. I don't keep much money in my PP account. When someone pays I transfer it to my bank account. When I want to purchase I use Pay It Later then only transfer enough back into PP to pay the bill.

Hell Bob, how much they took...??

You should have a record of who took the money without your permission, sure Paypal will need to know about is and they should have the tools to track the culprit(s), they may reimburse you, if you can prove the withdrawal was unauthorized, this is me thinking...!

Let us know what happens from now with that issue...!

Cheers

My PP account had been hacked 3 times, the last being approximately 6 years ago. I had them send me one of the security tokens and I've never had a problem since. The token is tied to both my PP and ebay accounts.

It looks like they've changed the system a bit since I signed up. Where I have a keychain token, they now have a credit card sized version or a text to your phone that will text you the random 6-digit code that you apply to the back of your password every time you log on.

I had an email from PayPal in German asking me to log into Pay Pal. I deleted it straight away. Thought it was a phishing thing, as it was not personally addressed, just saying that there was some unusual activity going on my account.
Was this the type of thing????
