washer size

With this turn between center mandrel from PSI https://www.pennstateind.com/store/PKMBCM2.html it's recommended to have a washer over the little dip in the ends. Does anyone know the size of the washer and has anyone glued it permanently so it doesn't come off?

Can you quote verbatim the instructions? That does not sound right. I can't understand the purpose of a washer in TBC, but that is not a true TBC, so I don't know.

If you look closely at the base of each shaft there's a small area cut out. I got set from Exotic Blanks and Ed is the only supplier to provide the washer to fill that void so the black seats all the way. I thought maybe there were others using this system and would appreciate the information. I can of course just as Ed at Exotic Blanks but I suspect I'm not the only one doing this.

Sometimes the blank tube will slightly curl into the dip. It makes the blank stick and extremely difficult to remove. I believe it is caused by the blank spinning from not having enough pressure from the tail stock.

I just bought some cheap plastic washers at Mennards. They just need a hole that would slide on any pen mandrel, approximately a quarter inch.
