My brother who lives in the St. Louis, Mo. area has multiple beautiful walnut log segments available free for pick up. These are typically 15 to 19 inches or more in diameter, and about 2 feet long. The tree was cut down about 6 weeks ago. He is willing to give these away, but is a bowl turner and might like to see a little bit of a swap for some other wood. He says you could get a LOT of walnut for a little bit of some other wood that suits his fancy. If you drive a hard bargain, you could get 'em for free! ;)

I have had one response via PM, but there are multiple nice log segments remaining. My brother Gary would like to get a swap, but mostly wants to share the wealth. Come 'n get it!🌳
 
I'm going through St Louis but not until August. Don't know if he is willing to wait that long. I'd have to have him split a log in half so I can handle them, though. I could handle a half log that size , but not a full one.
