Walnut bowl

This piece of walnut laid in my shop for 8 to 10mos, I don't know how long Gary Max had it before I got it, I started to turn it and it cracked--in two places!!!!! Top to bottom center but I stayed with it and completed it. It is 5" X 8" with 8 coats of wipe on polly. Its 3/8ths" thick. You can see one of the cracks in the back.

Cracked or not; it is one beautiful piece of wood with a very nice shape!

Looks good from here Tom. I spent the day building tables.
Not my ideal of fun but we need the inventory.

Great proportions, excellent turning. (Cracks are just character) I'm very envious, my bowls look like milk glasses. Very nice job.

Awfully pretty piece of wood, even with the cracks, Nice shape and the finish looks good
