This is an actual 2012 U.S. Postage Stamp with a picture of the ship. When we went to Boston on vacation we were able to see and tour the ship. The souvenir shop had some pieces from it for sale so I picked up a few so I could make some pens. This style pen is great for using the small cutoffs. The thin line is aluminum for a Diet Coke can. I used diet to keep the weight of the pen down! Ha Ha.

A number of years ago we spent a weeks vacation in Boston. Stayed at a hotel in the subburbs and rode their subway into the city every day. Followed the Freedom Trail, visited Concord, Lexington and Salem. Took in a Red Sox game. Visited Cheers. I passed on the Lobster that the local McDonalds had on the menu but did patronize a dozen different Dunkin Donuts. But the memory that stood out most was the security screening that you had to go through before boarding the USS Constitution. This was in 2002 a year after 9/11. It was the most thorough that I have ever had to go through. A really great vacation.

Nice. When I was in the Navy, I turned down orders to the Constitution. Would have been a pretty cool place to be stationed but was not good for my career.

Boston was a fun place to visit. I enjoyed the history and the other touristy places. I wasn't impressed with the Dunkin Donuts because they didn't have my chocolate cream filled donuts. Although they did me a favor not having them it was the only disappointment on the trip.

Boston is a great city to visit. Lots of great historical landmarks to see.

The pen turned our really nice. I definitely like the combination of the wood and the stamp. The accompanying certificate of authenticity is a nice touch,
