yes i have but this morning i saw that the date on the pc was a month ahead of itself i set the right date and i am going to run a full scan tonight when i get home. the date was showing aug 12 instead of july 12 would that make a difference?

yep it could; it would show the latest update (yesterday) being a month old according to your PC.

thank you guys i will re run everything when i get home and hopefully that will fix the problem. i really do not need to be with out my pc right now. thanks again for the help

thats what i tought to but this is the 2nd time the date has gotten off like this would have not noticed it but my girlfriend seen it this morning and told me about it. the protection has been messed up for about a week now and i never noticed the date thing. hope this fixes the problem.

:mad: Things don't always work as they should or are intended to!! Even though I have auto updates and daily scans set up, when my wife opened the PC yesterday, Microsoft had 39,875 updates that had to be installed before she could run it. She never did get to go online.

Do you have your settings set to just notify, or download but not install?

Thats a lot of updates, but what can I say "Windows...."

I have all my pc's at home do the install's at 2:00am that way I don't see that much down time, they all are on in sleep mode but they still down load and install when needed.

all mine are set for the same time to i am hoping that now that i have the date right that i can get the visus protection right i think it will be fixed tonight when i get home from work.

i want to thank the folks on IAP. you guys are the best this is to let you know that i did what u suggested to fix my home pc and it worked it is running fine now
thanks you very much for the help

My PC is set to never download or install updates. I believe in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule. I always do a full disk snapshot just before I apply updates. It has saved my bacon more than once!!
