A cousin of mine restored an old authentic Chuck wagon. In the process, he salvaged what wood he could. I have 3 pieces of wood from the original spokes on his wagon wheels. I don't have enough years left to use all the wood I have collected, so it's time to look for a good home for these rare pieces of wood.

They are 12" long and vary from a little over 2" to about 3" in diameter - note that they are lobed shaped & not perfectly round.

Asking $175 for the 3 of them plus $15 shipping - $190 total — no fee PayPal, USA only.

I have attached a photo of his restored Chuck wagon.

Just wondered what the wood was. I was going to take a WAG and say Osage orange but couldn't tell by the color. Couple of the picts show a lot of sap wood.

The one on the right does look like OO grain to me. The heartwood grains on the other two look similar, but they do have a lot of sapwood. I'd have to slice off a quarter inch or so to get a better look at the grain, but I don't really want to do that. I'll give the listing a couple of more days here on IAP before I start posting it at other places.

Interesting. I have plenty of wood...according to my wife. My interest would be in the history of the wagon: when and where built, who built it, where it has traveled in its lifetime. If it's from Texas and is real old, it could have been used in cattle drives by some of the noted cattle kings as Goodnight, Loving, etc.

I'll ask my cousin if he has any information on its history. It is currently used at a lot of fundraiser events for veterans.
