Very Simple Segmented Pen

This is a very simple design adorning the newest Liberty click edition from McKenzie Pen Works. The main wood is Holly and the end caps are dyed and stabilized maple burl. The spacer material is vulcanized fiber paper. Comments and critiques always welcomed.

Excellent spacing to keep the segments equal from the ends (IYKYK). Lovely colors with no bleed-out or sanding dust. Very nice.

Following Mark's comment, how does one put together a segmented blank and keep the two end pieces equal length? Pondering some segmented blanks this week.

I usually build the middle section first, from there it's just simple math to determine the end cap length, giving yourself a little extra for trimming. It's quite a bit easier building the blank before you drill it.

I didn't need to use it as this was not pre-drilled and not built on the tube.
