I am coming into this hobby completely green. I have participated in a demo at my local Woodcraft and picked up a couple books. I have always been pretty handy so I decided to jump in with both feet. Part of my plan was to be able to create something as gifts for my customers each year. So, after getting everything set up and finally getting time, I was able to create my first pen two weeks ago. There are a bunch of little things that I need to fix for future turns. However, I am pleased with the final product on my first attempt. I can't wait to dig in and do some more!

Keep them coming, fun and if you are lucky and persistent profitable.

Enjoy and read a lot on this site, people here are collectively smart and skilled.

TJ, well done brother. You have many hours of experimentation, trial, failure and success to anticipate. Share all those with us.

Very Good Pen, T.J.
Thank you for including the "Close Up" function with your Posting.
An Excellent Blank, well Finished.
However, the Turning to the Diameters of the Bushes, could have been a little closer.
But that will come with Confidence, and Experience.
Well Done.
Brian.
