Thanks.....first chance I get I will look you up and see what these vacuums are about if you don't mind. I think you are right about not soaking in, I coated these blanks leaving the end raw to see if it soaked in and nothing!

You accidental created a new topic. Got what you said. Let me know. Some folks use pressure to stabilize as well. Just have to do some research and see what works best for you. Vacuum is safer than pressure. If there is a catastrophic failure, vacuum wont send parts all over the shop. Thats the beauty of the HF PVPots. They are made to hold pressure.

thanks...unfortunately, apparently you need to remove some things and add some lol.....not knowing what I was doing could get embarrassing.....been there done that! ha ha
