Urushi Fountain Pen

Hello again,

Closing this week with a new pen I finished this morning.
Urushi finish called Kara Nuri. The process involves I mix of urushi and egg white to give viscosity in order to have speckles on the pen that will maintain the shape during curing.
Several coloured layers are applied and sanded to reveal the final finish.
This entire process takes 3-4 months.
