upgrade pen fills

I just wanted to know where everyone gets your pen refills from, I know that the ones that come with the kits are a little cheesy, thanks Howard

I just ordered both Cross, and Parker refills from penrefillsnow.com http://www.penrefillsnow.com/khxc/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=splash
their prices are in line, and they have a liquid ink for Cross that's similar to gel ink.

I usually use www.pencity.com - they have Schmidt refills and private reserve ink.

I'm very happy with Pencity. I usually get my Parker style refills from them (Itoya being my favorite ones).

I've recently bought some "Cross" style refills from my local OfficeMax. Many of my clients are government employees, and they use blue ink for originals. The blue ink refills would not fully extend in the bullet pens I had made. They have a slightly larger banding behind the point. A customer allerted me to the problem, which was an easy fix, but it's a good reminder to test new or different refill brands before letting them out into the wild.

Rmartin, I had the same problem with the bullet pens. What was the fix?

Perhaps I shouldn't have said "easy" fix. It wasn't something I did on the spot. I drilled the nib of the bullet slightly larger. Not sure of the exact size bit I used at the moment, but I could check in my shop tomorrow.
