As some are aware, my wife and I along with our three kids are in the process of adopting from Lesotho, Africa. Many here have helped in this process with donations and prayers, so I felt I should send out an update on the progress (or lack thereof). This past week our family was to be presented for a matching in the country. Unfortunately, not all the paperwork was complete on the end of the orphanages. This means that children who need a loving home are still waiting for their forever home due to some papers not being completed.

Yes, we are sad, frustrated and hopeful all at the same time. We learn everyday that this is not on our timing... Due to many gracious friends and family, all fees have been raised. We are now working on saving and raising the money for flights and time off work required to make the trip to bring our children home. Please continue to keep these children in your thoughts. There are so many who need loving homes and parents to feed them physically and emotionally.

Thank you for a taking a moment to read.

Congrats on getting your end done. My mom told me to never pray for patience, as it leads to situations that require the development of patience.
Best wishes to you and your family - both your current and future family members.

keep focused my friend a little child will soon be blessed and be a blessing for you. may the Lord give you strength and continue to move mountains. I am sure He has heard your cry in that it's been a long road. be of good spirit for soon you will have that child in the shop with you :)

I am always amazed at hearing how difficult it is to do such an amazing thing!

You're able and willing and stuck waiting on red tape, it just seems ridiculous to me.

All the best, hopefully things move along quickly!

Still thinking happy thoughts for you. My prayers are with you but more for the children. Good luck and keep fighting, a life saved is worth it. K

You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.......
I was adopted and ever so greatful....
God's Peace

Eric,
Our next door nieghbors adopted a child from Russia, many years ago. They encountered lots of road blocks and additional expense along the way. They spent 8 weeks in the room of a Moscow hotel waiting for a phone call which they were told would be about 4 weeks. After the adoption they were told that the adoption agency intentionally threw road blocks at the couple to see if they could handle adversity. Right or wrong it was their thought process.

They came home with Chelsea, who was and is one of the neatest kids I have ever known. She is now 15 and still takes the time to talk to my wife and I frequently...I think this is well worth the wait.

Good luck
