Just received word that he made through ssurgery just fine. They put tubes in first then his palate. God is soooo GOOD. Thanks for your prayers. Now just waiting for recovery and then the release to get him home. Babysitting my little 8 month old granddaughter has been fun and exciting.

My wife just called and ssaid that he has his tongue sewn to his lip, just to keep him from rubbing the stitches in the roof of
his mouth. He will be closely monitered for the next couple of days.

Thanks again, Keith

I missed the original thread on this so I am not sure what happened but you are in our prayers. Children are resilient and much stronger than you or I. I have seen more than one trip to the OR w/ my 3 girls and they are back running around fast, sometimes in the same day. Sending some get well wishes to you grandson and I hope he has a speedy recovery. God Bless!

Just to let yall that dont know, he was born with cleft lip and his palate had to be moved over. This sergery was to repair his palate and put tubes back in his ears.

'tis amazing what docs can do today, and amazing how the kids get through it with sooooo much less fussing and moaning than us "grown-ups"! Glad the fix went well, thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I also missed the first post.Great news! I know how you feel.My grandson just turned 1 and he has to go into surgery on monday.
We will continue to keep you and the family in our prayers.
