I had a similar thing happen with Hersheys Kisses. To add insult to injury the rat left the bag with all the wrappers.

Sprinkle them on a glue trap and get even. While on the subject has anyone stepped on a glue trap? The trap chemically bonds to the sole. It is not coming off

Mice? Pesky critters! As Bugs Bunny would say, "You realize this means war!" They can get into anywhere as long as they can get their head through. The body compresses.
Had a raccoon get into the candy stash at a campground. Our dog tracked it to a tree which had a pile of wrappers behind it. Raccy came back every night since then. Learned to pry off the lid of a storage box. Even tried to get into the oven where the wife hid the bread. Paw marks between the door and frame!

They sure do like the chocolates. We live next to a cornfield so we mostly get the larger brown variety and not so many of the grey ones. They find their way in whenever the weather turns cold or when it turns hot. They also find their way in when the weather is nice and when it is not. Pretty much all the time.
I've finally resorted to the electric mousetraps as they seem to be the most reliable. Some of the little buggers are pretty adept at getting every bit of peanut butter out of the other kinds of traps.
We used to have cats that took care of the little intruders. They were pretty effective too!

Hmm. I put out a mouse trap once. I didn't have any cheese so I cut out a picture of cheese from a magazine. Next morning I found a picture of a mouse in the trap!

Yes, dang it! I did get it off, but it was a LOT of work. Of course, the bottom of the shoe was still sticky anyway. I blame the pretty girl who distracted me.

Ruh-roh ... if anything (or anyone) gets into my Cadbury mini-egg stock they are in for *b*i*g*t*r*o*u*b*l*e*
