Make sure you have a fan at least blowing dust away from you.
I've debated with run outside, grab breath of air, run inside, turn, run outside, breath again...

Anything is better than nothing. You can even use a piece of tee-shirt and a safety pin foe a mask. Multiple layers help.

You can buy these at a number of places. Just google resp o rator. I like it because it pulls the air in through a couple of HEPA filters from behind me. I don't need the nose clamp, I just breathe only through my mouth when using it.

I bought this one because it was the only one I could wear with goggles. I prefer goggles to a full face shield when sanding and finishing.

other than the weight, I love my trend airshield... I have the Pro model that I bought used from a friend leaving wood turning... no need for masks, the shield faceplate is easy to see through, the forced air makes breathing really easy and no dust.
Reminds me of what we used in the pharma manufacturing suites with high class drugs. Same price tag to boot!
