Has anyone ever converted a Uniball Jetstream RT Retractable Ballpoint Pen?

By "converted" I mean stripped off the barrels to replace them with wood.

I've converted a pentel pencil and a couple of inexpensive clickers. Articles are in the library if you want to get an idea of the process. I would start by removing all of the parts. Then rip the barrel in half lengthwise to see the structure on the inside of the barrel. Try to duplicate the same structure inside the new wood barrel. Threading, if any, will need to be figured out. Good luck.

The refill looks very similar to a Cross-style that is used in slimlines and a fair number of other kits.

Might be worth testing to see if it fits, or can be easily modified to fit (shaving off some diameter here and there or similar).

Otherwise it doesn't have to be much more complicated than drilling a hole that of a proper diameter to get a good friction fit, and inserting the refill into it after turning/sanding/polishing.
