Ultem piston filler

Showing a piston filler pen I made a few months ago. The pen is a piston filler, quad start threads, has a Jowo nib, holds around 1.9 ml ink, made from Ultem, polished to a clear glass finish. Not at all good at product photography, need to get good at it.

Very nice. Excellent design and execution. I envy your clear polished finish. I've tried but without totally succeeding. Thanks for sharing aside can see the glass like polish is possible.

Thanks Don. What polish technique have you been using?

I have been using the sanding technique shown by Brian Gray at Edison Pen Co. I don't have a metal lathe so using a boring bar to smooth the drill marks. I sand with auto wet and dry, micromesh, Zona paper and try to polish with Magic Juice. Removing the drill tool marks seem to be the secret.

Very good, it really looks very pretty. Ultem is a material that is somewhat difficult to polish, very laborious...
