Ugly Pen Contest

I made an entry for the Ugly Pen Contest, only to discover that there is no Ugly Pen Contest this year. Oh well. :biggrin:

Anyway, here it is, the Dowel Pen:

And here is a pic of the parts:

As you can see, I simply pulled the refill out of a Bic pen, drilled a matching hole in a 1/4" dowel, and stuck it in. In keeping with the pen being ugly, I broke off the other end. There is no finish, so it will get grungy pretty quick.

I hope you like (or should I say dislike) it.

This is probably a good 'modified pen', I've seen uglier....maybe if you rub some dog pooh on it?

I have got an ugly pen made out of wine corks.....concept was good but the cork did not slice very well while turning

I am afraid I a responsible for the no ugly pen contest although I am not 100% certain it was my last years entry.

And mine was only a 2nd place pen, so it could be the 1st place winner.

That has to be the least expensive hardware set you have purchased. Great idea and beautifully ugly too!
