Since the end of last. year, I've been making pens for coworkers as their birthdays roll around. These are the latest two. Walnut burl on a PSI Executive fountain pen. This fountain pen is a hidden gem IMO - the magnetic cap is really nice, the section is comfortable, and even though the nib is an IPG, the ones I've turned so far have been good writers without even needing any tuning.

The Thuya burl is a PSI Oxford rollerball. The blank arrived and I knew immediately it was going to be a particularly good one.

I like that PSI Executive so much that I ordered one for myself. I'm going to dress it in a buckeye burl with red and silver acrylic "hybridz" blank from woodturningz, and drop in a Bock 076 nib in place of the IPG. Very excited!

People do like the magnetic caps. The executive is my preferred one. I turn the front end to .470 (rather than .480). I think it makes the transition to the rounded fitting more natural.

Looks like the finish may have lifted on the body of the walnut pen.
