Two Lapis Lazuli (includes my first closed end)

Well here they are, both of the Gemstones, my first ones. Very hard on crappy chisels... The second pen is my first closed end.

The closed end is beautifully done, both pens really suit the blank and plating marriage you picked.

Thanks for the comments. The blue does fit well with the black Titanium but I'm not sure if it might have been better with a silver-like plating.

Has for turning, oh yes a pain! And the blue slurry it creates at sanding...

They look nice Louis, I'm going to have to try my Woodchuck on some of that Lapis, I do like the color of the stuff. I have some of the old junk, but it's too thin to use only 1/4 inc thick. Ain't gonna try gluing it up.

Beautiful. I've used lapis for jewelry but never thought about it for turning.
