I wanted a couple more "out of the box" razors for the show this weekend. Inlace always produces a shine instantly like no other resin. Thank goodness I've made peace with this potentially chippy plastic.

The stand has a tag since people started buying them often.

I start with sharp 1" roughing gouge to get it round. I switch to a 2" radius carbide cutter. Yes I know they say don't do that but it works well if careful. I like to finish with negative rake carbide just to be sure. No chips means something is going well.

I use carbide too, with a shearing cut, works for me, the little of it I've turned.

I learned to turn it using a Sorby Spindle Master and a round carbide cutter. I found out that if you take shallow cuts, you have less chip out. Also, normally do the final turning down to the bushings using wet or dry sand paper. Then MM all the way up. I was told that if you do the MM you do not need to use any polish, but it seems to me that I get just a little bit more shine with something like Maguires PlasticX.

My humble advice. Buy a Beale Buff system and never look back to micromesh
