Two From This Weekend

The first is a comfort grip minus the grip. I gave a friend some spalted maple for some boxes he was making and he returned the cut off pieces. 12 coats of CA and polished with Plastex.

The second I actually built over a year ago. I wasn't happy with the shape or finish so I redid it. It's some Australian Eucalyptus on a black Ti Polaris. 20 coats of CA and polished. I really like the wavy grain. After sanding I wiped it down with acetone. Did see the CA really taking to it until about the 12th coat. After that though, she seemed to finish well.

They both look great, but I like the first one best. You cant go wrong with spalted maple.
