Turning SoapStone Pens

Hi,

Has anyone had success using soapstone for their pens, if so I'd like to know what variety of soapstone did you use and if you have any tips/techniques

There have been a few threads about this recently. At least 1, if not a couple folks, have turned some gorgeous stone pens. The above thread was a good one. There are more around - try entering "turning stone" in the search box and you should get a handful.

Pretty rough photo back then, I think I used to scan them when I first started posting.
Sorry can't tell you the variety. I do have some blanks that are a different variety, somewhat green/white speckle. Private message me if you are interested in purchasing what I have.
