What is your tool of choice for turning acrilics ?

I used to use a skew. Now I got some carbide tools that I'm trying. The main thing is have sharp tools.

Carbide and skew. Never limit yourself to just one tool...it may not be around someday!

Pen Pro with R2 tip.

Gouge for rounding/roughing and carbide for the final few passes. On my seam rippers I finish with a spindle gouge.

I use a carbide tool. Make sure it's sharp and take small bites with the tool.

Depends on the plastic/acrylic material.

The brittle ones work best for me with a honed skew with a thin shear/planning cut, and shear cut/scraped final surface.

Softer material such as camo blanks (tend to be very soft in my experience) most any thing can work.

Got problems with a skew -- Try a Keith Tompkins designed skew to get confidence. Really hard to get a catch with it (or to take hogging cuts)
