There will be a "Turn for the Troops" Event at the Harrisburg PA Woodcraft on November 5 & 6 (Sat & Sun) for everyone. We will be turning AND mentoring first time turners. ALL blanks, and kits, tools and lathes will be supplied, AND you can bring your own tools and supplies. The store has a large selection of turning supplies, tools, and pen kits/blanks. Anyone in the local area is welcome to come out to support people serving our country. Store hours are

We have a BLAST at this event. We get many people who have never turned a pen before and they turn a pen under guidance. We have had youngsters in the 5-8 years old range make a pen. My general rule is if you would trust your child with a sharp knife, they can turn.
