any one have trouble with the brass tubes being to big to hold the transmission? I'm working on a slimline and the transmission slips into the tube with very little force and then once the brass end is in; it's lose and slides up and down the tube.
yeah, I'll dig through the archives and see what I can find.
thanks.

Interesting Marc.

I have had 7mm tubes too big for the nib and I have always wondered WHY the transmission was NOT sloppy.

But, so far, it has not been.

The tubes are also too big on the clip end, but they make the transmission turn properly. It's a dilemma.

Your situation is more understandable, but even LESS desirable!!

Mark,
You might consider the flip side of the equation also..
transmission "fit" ring too small.
These are a machined feature, and could have a defective one.
If you have calipers, give it a quick check?

Take a center punch and make some dimples on the brass part of the transmission. That should create a little ridge around the dimple that sticks up slightly. I put them at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.
