TSW over the entire assembled pen

After reading the TSW thread --i have to ask the follwoing question.

Can TSW be used over the entire pen. If I would want a high gloss could I buff with soft cloth over the entire pen. A power buffing would probably buff off the finish on the hardware.

Short answer, yes. Once assembled, you are right, I'd pass on power buffing. I keep some TSW and a soft cloth handy for cleaning up finger prints and such after a pen is handled.

John - TSW can definitely be applied over an entire pen, however, the trick is in the buffing. The wood or plastic components can be power buffed, but be careful with the fittings. Some of them, particularly 24k and 10k gold, can be buffed off. Also, remember to use a clean buff - one that does not have any of the abrasives such as "white diamond" on it. Hand buffing of the fittings with a soft clean cloth is safe, as mentioned above.
