Trying something other than pens

These are the first projects I've tried bigger than a pen. Just finished turning them last week and applying the lacquer over the weekend. Need to let cure and wet sand up to 2000 grit.

WOW great workmanship I really love the cube design on the first picture, just awsome. You did a great job on on the bowl also the way you alternated the rings.

Beautiful work on all 3, but I really like that first one.

Ok, finally got time to finish this, put 8 layers of laquer

8 layers of spray laquer and wet sand up to 12000 grit micro mesh.

Base wood is Peruvian walnut, cube is Peruvian walnut, African walnut, and Sapele, with yellow heart surrounding the cube.

Really like the first one. The second is nice but to me the base throws it off.
