- I wanted to turn a pc of Tru Stone but was too cheap er, thrifty to buy a blank. Got one for my bday and made it into a cigar pen.
- it turned quite easily <although I did sharpen tools before turning> and finished to a nice shine <std micro-mesh and polish>. Don't know if I really consider it better/worse than acrylics but it is and does feel different in the hand when writing.
- interesting to note: a std acrylic cigar weighs 1.7oz and the TruStone cigar weighed 1.9oz <same pen kit>. Something to consider, particularly if using a heavy pen kit <Victorian, etc> .........
