I've made a couple fountain pens on request. Most were lower end. I did do a couple Jr Statesmen that came out nice. This is my first spec fountain pen. It is a Triton in banded malachite Tru-stone. This is my first Tru-stone pen. I figured it was time to step up and give it a try. I love it. I don't know how the Malachite compares to other Tru-stones, but right now, it is my favorite material to turn.

I am very happy with the way it turned out. I think I got everything right. The finish is good (MM12000) the fit is good and I like the color combination. This will be my desk pen for a while.

Comments welcomed but as always, thanks for looking.

Gary, Very distinguished looking pen! Great job of picking blank and pen components. Especially nice as a fountain pen. Doc

every time I look at the blank I think it doesn't look good. Then I see it turned and put on a kit such as this and think I better get a few pieces of that to try.
