There are about 10 photos that went with this photo story (not my find) of three bucks that died (drowned), locked togetherater fighting. 2-10pointers and an eight pointer . Wish I could show them all here, but these two will have to do. In Ohio, the DNR got involved to preserve the "locked " status documentation. The story shows the violent and sad reality of the wild. It is thought that the eight and 10 pointers got locked up fighting and the other 10 pointer got involved, too and locked the up for good. In the truck, they are zip tied together for the landowner the keep.

Man, that's a lot of grillin' gone to waste. I wouldn't have wanted to be the one to wade in there and detach the headgear from the rest (unless I was getting to keep it at least). Floaters are some of the stinkiest carcasses.

Wow, what a shame. Never seen a triple either. Had a guy I know bow kill a large buck a few years back that was dragging a bigger buck around that had already died. DNR let him keep both deer and he had them mounted in a locked horn scene. Now he has them hanging in a corner with each head on opposite walls. Don't think you could pull off a wall mount with three. Lol
