Based on Pic #1, is it fair to assume that the blade guard does not fit inside the cap ? . ( .... even tho' Pic #2 seems to suggest that it does .... )

The blade guard/blade wrench does fit inside the cap.

Where do you buy the parts for the knife ?

I can see that building these might be a good intro to building kitless FPs for me.
Making the body, cap, and "section" would be similar.
I already have the required taps/dies, although my 10mm has pitch of 1 and I'd prefer 0.75.
I'd like to try my hand at the internal polishing on a semi-transparent blank like this.

or you can use a generic which takes a metric thread
