I need to get a specific pen transmission. While disassembling a PSI Yoga pen the transmission broke in half. PSI doesn't respond to my email to purchase the part. I don't want to have to buy another $20 kit just for the transmission and then have a useless kit left over. I have no idea if there is another compatible transmission available. Does anyone have or know where I can obtain just the transmission?

Try phoning PSI, and ask for Tony in "Customer Service" (hope he's still there) .

They are very good to respond on the phone

from looking at the instruction sheet I think a cigar pen uses the same transmission.

That same thought JUST occurred to me, also .... the Cigar transmission is a double-twist transmission (on the Berea kits I have made, anyway).

PSI has a pen kit called the Big Pen, which is very like the Berea Cigar.

The vendors don't always make it clear when the transmission is a double-twist.
I don't like the double-twist in general, but I tolerate it on the Cigar because I like the rest of the pen kit design.

I concur with Mal - I never had any success trying to reach PSI through their website, but when I call, and speak to an actual person, they have been very responsive. So far (over the past 10 years or so) I have had to ask for a coupe of twist mechanisms, and a replacement tip, and they sent them promptly, no charge.

One very recent funny story - I tried one time to contact them via their website. Someone responded to my note with an email telling me to call customer support. So maybe they have a few wrinkles to iron out internally....

Calling them worked. I got connected right away and the customer service person said she would send one out right away. Great service.
