Translucent Blank/Glue (?) Problem

I have a question about a problem with the glue showing through a translucent blank. I am using the nickel chameleon tube and thick CA glue. After turning I am seeing a spider-web like effect which shows through the blank (to the tube). I do suspect it is the glue and am wondering if anyone has an insight to (a) why I'm having this problem and (b) what might be the solution?

Paint the inside of your blank and you can paint the tube also. Use a similar color or black to darken and white to lighten.

Paint the blank is the only way to avoid that.
